Michigan marriage laws require your two witnesses to be presentWhether you choose to elope or have a big wedding the fact remains that you must have two witnesses over the age of 18 present to witness your marriage and then sign the marriage license with you. Michigan marriage laws do not allow for your witnesses to join via zoom or sign the license without the Officiant present.
I know it may seem tricky to get two witnesses present if you choose to elope, but think outside the box....hire a photographer, that's one witnesses and then you are down to one other and it can be anyone, a friend, relative or neighbor! Most times I can provide witnesses for an additional cost, subject to their availability. Remember Michigan marriage laws require you to apply for and obtain a marriage license from the county clerks office, to hire a professional Officiant and to have two witnesses present in order to legally get married in the state of Michigan. Hire me, I'll make it easy and stress free to get married or elope in Michigan. Comments are closed.
