When creating their wedding ceremony we focused on their love story and reminding them why they are standing facing each other on their wedding day. I love a small ceremony with your closest friends and family by your side. There is something about an intimate ceremony that allows the stress to float away and the focus to really be on the love and joy of the couple.

While I love a good elopement in the park, sometimes you want a little more for your wedding day and The Oakley in Holly Michigan offers just that.

Sarah and Justin gathered their closest family and friends to host their wedding at the Grand Belle in Holly, Michigan. The groom wore the best grey converse and the bride had on her perfect white sneakers. Sarah's lace covered wedding dress suited the venue perfectly. 

The venue the Grand Belle just outside of downtown Holly, Michigan is a beautiful refurbished barn and grounds. The ceremony takes place just in front of the barn on the grass lawn. With the wedding party entering the ceremony from the huge barn doors and then taking a walk down the grass covered aisle to land at the perfect spot just under the big maple trees.

One of my absolute favorite things about their wedding was their grandmothers who served as their flower girls. Let me repeat that...GRANDMOTHERS AS FLOWERGIRLS! As a person who just adored my own grandmother I would relish the opportunity to relive my wedding and have her be my flower girl, she would have loved that! 

The lesson here is to hold your family front and center can be a beautiful thing, creating the most amazing memories of your wedding day, not just for the two of you, but for your family as well. Support from your community whether it be family by blood or your choosing is nothing we take for granted.

Battle Alley, downtown Holly MI is located in the heart of downtown Holly, it is a side street lined with shops and bistro lights and tables and chairs set out for public use. The murals and atmosphere lend itself to a quaint setting for your signing service. This is an all outdoor space, so be prepared for the elements or to duck into the local coffee shop or bakery if needed. I love this space for the hallmark movie feels and the pictures! 

Just outside of downtown Holly is a slip of land called Waterworks Park, its a great drop in site for kayakers but it also has this great natural stream side space for a small ceremony or signing. This is an outdoor only location, be prepared for the elements if necessary. I love this park for the natural backdrop it provides. 

Just outside of downtown Fenton is Bush Park, if you enter off of Leroy Road you land right at the Gazebo which is available to rent or we can take a walk and find the perfect spot near the stream or willow trees for your intimate ceremony or signing. I love this park for the many options of spaces it provides and having a covered gazebo in case of rain certainly is nice. Remember this is a public park so there will be people, dogs and others milling about and enjoying the scene. 

If you are looking for an indoor space for your intimate wedding or signing I suggest renting one of the many rooms at the Fenton Community Center. May I also suggest a weekday booking with them as you can get a room for an hour for around $50! Cost efficient and pretty!
