Simple Signing - courthouse wedding alternative

7/31/2023

Simple Wedding AKA Marriage License Signing AKA Courthouse Alternative (much better)

Let's get to the details: Signings are $140 unless scheduled Monday through Wednesday 10am to 1pm, the fee is discounted to $85.

Locations: Signings are performed in Cupcakes and kisses or Battle Alley in downtown Holly or LA Cafe or Baycourt Park in Waterford.

What is a signing: I will meet at our scheduled date, time and location. I will complete your marriage license and direct the two of you and your two witnesses where to sign. I will then offer an exchange of vows and rings if you have them; this is optional, we do not have to do any form of ceremony.

What you need: Your marriage license, please see your local county clerk's website for their specific instructions and documents needed to apply. You will also need to bring 2 witnesses over 18 years old, this can be anyone you like and yes they are required and sadly we are not able to provide witnesses for you.

Do you need a wedding officiant? Michigan edition

Do I Need a Wedding Officiant in Michigan? Exploring the Importance of an Officiant on Your Big Day

Congratulations on your engagement! As you start planning the wedding of your dreams in Michigan, you may wonder whether you need a wedding officiant to solemnize your marriage. While it's true that some couples opt for DIY ceremonies or ask a friend to officiate, having a professional wedding officiant can make a significant difference on your big day. In this blog post, we'll delve into the importance of hiring a wedding officiant in Michigan and explore the benefits they bring to your special celebration. Let's dive in!
  1. Legal Requirements
One of the primary reasons why you need a wedding officiant in Michigan is the fulfillment of legal requirements. A licensed wedding officiant is authorized to perform marriage ceremonies and will ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the appropriate authorities. This crucial step guarantees that your marriage is legally recognized, sparing you from any unnecessary stress or complications down the road.
  1. Personalization of the Ceremony
A professional wedding officiant in Michigan can customize your ceremony to reflect your unique love story and personalities. Through pre-wedding consultations, they can gain insights into your relationship, allowing them to craft a heartfelt and personalized script. This personal touch will make your wedding ceremony a cherished and memorable experience for both you and your guests.
  1. Expert Guidance and Support
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, and having an experienced wedding officiant by your side can provide valuable guidance and support. They can offer insights on wedding traditions, rituals, and etiquette, helping you strike the perfect balance between modern and traditional elements. Moreover, their calming presence will help ease nerves and create a warm atmosphere for you and your guests.
  1. Seamlessly Orchestrating the Ceremony
A skilled wedding officiant knows how to manage the flow of the ceremony seamlessly. From cueing the bridal party's entrance to coordinating with the venue staff and photographers, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. This ensures that your special moments are captured flawlessly, allowing you to focus on what truly matters - your love and commitment to each other.
  1. Inclusivity and Interfaith Expertise
Michigan is a culturally diverse state, and your wedding may involve people from various religious and cultural backgrounds. A professional wedding officiant is trained to be inclusive and respectful of different beliefs. They can seamlessly incorporate cultural traditions or interfaith elements into the ceremony, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
  1. Rehearsal Coordination
A wedding officiant plays a crucial role in leading the wedding rehearsal. This rehearsal ensures that everyone involved in the ceremony knows their cues and roles, reducing the chances of any last-minute confusion or mishaps during the actual event. A well-rehearsed ceremony ensures that the focus remains on the joyous celebration of your love.

While you may be tempted to skip hiring a wedding officiant in Michigan, doing so could lead to unnecessary stress, legal complexities, and a less personalized ceremony. A professional wedding officiant brings expertise, guidance, and a personal touch that will elevate your wedding day to new heights. From ensuring legal compliance to crafting a ceremony that reflects your unique love story, their presence is invaluable.

So, as you plan your dream wedding in Michigan, consider the benefits of having a wedding officiant by your side. Their contribution will help make your special day an unforgettable and joyous celebration of love, surrounded by your nearest and dearest.
