Simple Signing - courthouse wedding alternative

7/31/2023

Simple Wedding AKA Marriage License Signing AKA Courthouse Alternative (much better)

Let's get to the details: Signings are $140 unless scheduled Monday through Wednesday 10am to 1pm, the fee is discounted to $85.

Locations: Signings are performed in Cupcakes and kisses or Battle Alley in downtown Holly or LA Cafe or Baycourt Park in Waterford.

What is a signing: I will meet at our scheduled date, time and location. I will complete your marriage license and direct the two of you and your two witnesses where to sign. I will then offer an exchange of vows and rings if you have them; this is optional, we do not have to do any form of ceremony.

What you need: Your marriage license, please see your local county clerk's website for their specific instructions and documents needed to apply. You will also need to bring 2 witnesses over 18 years old, this can be anyone you like and yes they are required and sadly we are not able to provide witnesses for you.

Justice of the peace - clarkston michigan

find Justice of the Peace in Clarkston Michigan

Hey, I'm Nichole your local wedding Officiant and I'm here to tell you that Justice of the Peace, Officiant, Celebrant and sometimes Minister are all interchangeable titles for a person who can legally perform your wedding ceremony.

I'm local to Holly, Fenton, Clarkston, Waterford and Pontiac. As a local Justice of the Peace I perform wedding ceremonies for all kinds of weddings. Intimate, elopement, grand weddings, and of course simple sign and go deals as well.

When folks google "Justice of the peace near me" they are often looking for a smaller wedding and sometimes the smallest type, that would be my sign and go, or simple signing.

As your Justice of the Peace I can meet with the two of you, two witnesses and sign your license, ask you if you are here to marry each other and promise to love each other, you say "we are" and boom, you are legally married.

There are many reasons a couple may search for a Justice of the Peace, did you know that many local courthouses no longer perform weddings, or if they do, its once a week and that creates a long backup.

Rest assured my marriage services as your Justice of the Peace are above what any cold courtroom can offer you!

6.6.22 Battle alley signing of marriage license

Coffe Shop Signing = get married in downtown Holly

My coffee shop signing is $85 and includes meeting in downtown Holly to sign your marriage license and maybe even snap a few photos in Battle Alley if you're up for it.

I'm finding so many more couples are choosing to have a small wedding ceremony now and to host a celebration or reception later when it makes more sense for them. This elevates the pressures of planning a big full wedding. By having a simple signing or small elopement ceremony now you can choose to have a celebration of your nuptials anytime you like and to this in a more relaxed or even upscale way that really makes sense for you. I mean think about it, a wedding day but where you get to celebrate right along with your guests where you get to call all the shots and not feel beholden to tradition or what your family thinks you should do.

DO IT YOUR WAY - GET MARRIED HOWEVER MAKES THE MOST SENSE TO YOU!

This amazing couple met me in downtown Holly, we grabbed a coffee at Battle Alley Coffee and then hoped right outside to Battle Alley to exchange a simple I Do and snap some pictures. The emotions ran high and the love even deeper. Congratulations to the both of you and I wish you all the joy possible!

Justice of the Peace - Alternative

A lot of folks looking to get married search the words Justice of the Peace on google. Justice of the Peace means Judge or person who can legally perform a marriage ceremony. Some folks will search wedding Officiant, wedding Minister, Wedding Chapel not really understanding what or who they need present to make their marriage legal. A lot of these folks enter their search thinking they want a simple court house wedding only to learn that 1. either court houses no longer offer these services or 2. there is a very long wait time to secure a court house wedding.

This is where I, Nichole Bertucci can offer you an alternative to a court house wedding to a Justice of the Peace. As an ordained Officiant I offer wedding ceremony services that are similar, dare I say even better than the courthouse wedding you had succumbed to having.
My wedding day packages start with a very simple signing of the marriage license. For the signing of the marriage license we set an appointment date and time and meet at a local coffee shop or bakery where I will complete the marriage license and then instruct everyone else where to sign and then right there at the table I offer a simple vow exchange, you say “I do” and then I can pronounce you as married. Monday through Wednesday 10am to 1pm $75. I say, make a day of it! Let’s meet, sign and then you can celebrate over brunch or lunch.

The other package I offer is an elopement package. We can find the perfect spot for your wedding ceremony, I have a few favorite spots I can share with you, most of which are free. You can invite up to 20 guests and together we’ll draft a lovely wedding ceremony. On your wedding day I will perform the wedding ceremony and then sign the marriage license with you to make it legal. $250 anytime.

Remember the courthouse is not the only answer if you are searching for a simple, peaceful and easy wedding day.

How many wedding's can one perform in one day?

2.22.22 was a magical day full of weddings. When I started receiving so many inquiries from couples to tie the knot on February 22, 2022 I knew I had to make a plan. I set up shop at my local bakery, Cupcakes and Kisses in downtown Holly. I bought a ton of cupcakes so each couple would have a sweet treat and I was ready for a day of wedding ceremonies and love.

I made a little post online about my wedding marathon day and the most beautiful soul Shelby of Monette Co. Photography messaged me to ask if she could pop in and take photos...for free! You see she wanted some of that 2.22.22 magic and who am I to deny anyone!? Have I told you how talented Shelby is? Take a look at her work HERE

The day was so good! Each couple joined Shelby and I at Cupcakes and Kisses, we signed their license and then did a quick simple "I do" and off they went with Shelby to snap some photos. And this went on, serving one couple every half hour until we reached the end of serving our couples together and then off I went to do a few offsite weddings.

It was a true dream to be of service to so many couples on February 22, 2022 and of course every other day of the year.
