First let me tell you congratulations on your decision. Many couples today are making the choice to elope in Michigan for many different reasons, be it budget, keeping it intimate, time or just keeping the focus on their marriage and partnership... but whatever your reason know that I can help you elope in Michigan. If you are here you have seen my home page and the 3 simple steps on how to elope in Michigan. It really is that easy! Let's talk about location options for your elopement ceremony. First decide if you want to be indoors or outdoors - yes you can elope in Michigan outdoors even in the winter - think about the snow fall and the fresh look your elopement ceremony will have and knowing that the typical elopement ceremony takes 15 minutes helps get you through the chill. Outdoor elopement locations are a plenty and we can use most for free! Local parks like the Fenton Mill Pond Park and Depot Park in Clarkston offer a covered gazebo and plenty of green space to use. You can reserve the gazebo for your elopement at either location if you want to assure you have private use of the gazebo. Indoor locations for elopement ceremonies can be magical. The Fenton Community Center has many rooms for rent and during the week (not weekend) the rates rage from $40-85 for an hour = and we'll only need it for maximum 30 minutes so there's still plenty of time for you to bring a bottle of bubbly to toast to the newly wed couple. The Van Gilder Room which is located in the newly built upper level offers floor to ceiling windows for a view of the community park - it's a gorgeous option to bring the outdoors in for your elopement ceremony. The room holds up to 80 people, plenty of space for you to take a Monday off work, invite a few of your closest family and friends and get hitched! You could even extend your rental and bring in catering from nearby Laundry, Crust or the Fenton House restaurants. The choices for your Michigan elopement ceremony are a plenty. Simply email me to set up a date and let's talk wedding. Fenton Community Center and the Van Guilder Room are pictured above.
