Sign and Go Marriage License
When all you want to do is sign your marriage license and go, I can do that.
What is a Sign and Go
My sign and go services includes meeting with you, the couple, and up to four witnesses to complete your marriage license and then simply pronounce you as married. There is no formal ceremony included in this service.
Why a sign and go
Some couples just want to keep their wedding simple, and the easiest way to do that is to do the only thing's required, which are (1) meet with a ordained wedding officiant/minister to complete your marriage license (2) have the officiant pronounce you as married (3) file the marriage license with the clerks office.
Some couples are getting married out of the United States and the paperwork required by other countries is tedious. So to make things as simple and efficient as possible, they choose to sign the marriage license in Michigan and then jet off to destination wedding.
It may be your 2nd marriage and you've already done the big ordeal and really want to keep it simple this time.
There are so many reasons couples choose to keep it simple. Rest assured, I don't ask the reason - it's your business I will simply greet you with a smile and excitement to make it legal with you!.
Do you need witnesses
Yes, in the state of Michigan your marriage license signing must be witnessed by 2 different people both over 18 years old. The only requirement is they must be able to sign and print their name in English and be over 18 years old.
The fine details:
We perform this super simple service Monday through Thursday anytime before 1pm.
We meet strictly at Battle Alley coffee in downtown Holly or Starbucks in Clarkston.
I am not able to provide witness, you must bring 2 people over 18 with you.
