Looking for a Courthouse Wedding in Michigan? There's a More Personal Way to Say "I Do"If you've been searching for a courthouse wedding in Michigan. Chances are you're looking for something simple.

Maybe a big wedding just isn't your style. Maybe you're tired of planning and ready to be married. Or maybe you just want to start this next chapter together without all the stress, expense, and expectations that often come with a traditional wedding.

If that's you, you're in the right place.

What many couples don't realize is that you don't actually have to get married at the courthouse.

Hello, I'm Nichole and that's where I come in, owner of A Simple I Do, we've helped hundreds of Michigan couples get married in a way that feels easy, personal, and meaningful—without the pressure of planning a large wedding.

You Want Simple. We Get That.

One of the first things couples tell us is:
"We just want to get married."
Not spend months planning.
Not worry about seating charts.
Not spend thousands of dollars on one day.
Just get married.

That's exactly why we created our simple ceremony options.

You'll still have a real wedding ceremony. You'll still exchange vows if you'd like. You'll still have that moment when you look at each other and say, "We're married."

The difference is that your day can be relaxed instead of overwhelming.

Why Couples Choose Us Instead of the Courthouse

A courthouse ceremony certainly works for many couples, but it isn't the only option—and for a lot of people, it isn't the experience they're hoping for.

When you choose A Simple I Do, you can expect:
  • A warm, welcoming atmosphere instead of a government office
  • A professional officiant focused entirely on you
  • Flexible appointments
  • A ceremony that's as short or as personal as you'd like
  • Time to take photos and celebrate the moment
  • The option to invite a few of your favorite people, if that's important to you

Most importantly, you'll leave married with memories you'll actually want to look back on.

How the Process Works

Getting married is probably easier than you think.
Step 1: Obtain your Michigan marriage license from your county clerk.
Step 2: Reach out to schedule your ceremony.
Step 3: Bring your marriage license and a valid photo ID.
Step 4: We'll perform your ceremony, sign your license, and make sure everything is completed correctly.

That's it.

No complicated planning. No unnecessary stress.

Just the two of you beginning your marriage.

Is This Right for You?
Our couples come from all walks of life.
Some are planning an intimate elopement.
Some have been together for years and finally decided it's time.
Some are blending families.
Some are celebrating a second marriage.
Others simply want their wedding day to feel authentic instead of extravagant.

If any of that sounds familiar, we'd love to help you create a day that feels true to who you are.

We're proud to help couples from Holly, Fenton, Grand Blanc, Clarkston, Waterford, White Lake, Brighton, Milford, and communities across Southeast Michigan.
